CERC Dental Crowns

Single Visit Dental Crowns WashingtonNatural-Looking Crowns Created in One Easy Visit
You know the usual routine. You visit a dentist and learn you need a crown. The dentist prepares the tooth to be repaired, takes an impression, and places a temporary crown. You then wait two weeks for a return visit, and then the dentist installs your permanent crown. If for any reason the fit isn’t perfect, then it goes back to the lab again and you wait. And once again you return to the dentist.

But with new technology called CEREC™ one-visit dentistry, that’s all changed. Our doctors can reduce that process to just a single visit! CEREC is a computer-aided design and milling device. It allows us to construct a permanent crown in our in-house lab while you wait. There’s no more waiting for an external lab, and no return trips to the dentist. Our patients love it!

CEREC allows us to repair a damaged tooth in about an hour. We no longer need to take dental impressions or create temporaries, and this technology allows us to satisfy patients looking for a long-lasting, aesthetic alternative to silver fillings.

To make your crown, we use a special camera to photograph the tooth. The picture is then displayed on a computer screen, allowing us to design your restoration. Then the CEREC machine takes over and automatically builds the restoration. Finally, we bond the restoration to the surface of the damaged tooth for the final repair.

All this makes a dental visit much easier and faster, and nobody wants to spend more time in the dental chair!

Sedation Dentistry

Sedation Dentistry Washington DC

Relax During Your Dental Care
Even though our dentists carefully deliver painless injections, some people are naturally anxious at the thought of a needle. If you break into a sweat at the mention of the word “dentist,” we have an easy solution to the problem.

An hour before your arrival, you take a pill that we dispense to you. You then reach a level of sedation that allows you to answer questions but mostly sleep through your visit. This is a great option for anxious people or those who are very busy and want to get all their treatment done in one convenient visit.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants Dentist Washington DC
Dental implants are the preferred way to replace missing teeth. From the front of the mouth, where they are most visible, to the back, where they provide the stability for chewing, implants can help you recapture a beautiful, functional smile. Unlike bridges or dentures, which sit on top of gums, dental implants are placed beneath the gums. The “tooth” placed on an implant looks like a real tooth, because it comes through the gums just like the original! Implants can be used to replace any number of lost teeth. Even those without teeth can greatly benefit from implants, because they can replace dentures with teeth that stay in place while talking and don’t need to be removed while sleeping. Because we handle everything from implant placement to crown fabrication, there’s no need to be referred to another dental office. We also employ computer guided surgery to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients, and an in-house lab to ensure the highest quality results in the fastest possible time.

Implant-supported teeth look and function just like real teeth and are maintained with the same oral hygiene practices, such as brushing and flossing. By permanently replacing missing teeth – and lost gum tissues – implant-supported teeth restore the support of the facial structures (cheeks and lips), thereby creating a more youthful appearance as well as the ability to function normally. This includes chewing hard foods, eating fresh fruits and vegetables, laughing, kissing, speaking confidently and smiling with joy.
